Tips and Best Practices
Image Quality
- Use High Quality — Higher resolution images look better when exported
- Appropriate Formats — Use JPEG for photos, PNG for graphics
- File Size — Large images may increase document size; consider compression
Signature Best Practices
- Consistency — Use the same signature style throughout a document
- Size — Make signatures large enough to be easily visible
- Position — Place signatures in expected locations (bottom for official docs)
Combining with Text
- Grouping — Position images and text together to create cohesive sections
- Alignment — Align images and text for a professional appearance
- Spacing — Leave adequate space between elements
Accessibility
- Describe Images — Add nearby text describing what images show
- Signature Placement — Use consistent placement so viewers know where to look
- Contrast — Ensure sufficient contrast between images/shapes and backgrounds
Exporting Images and Signatures
When you export your document as a PDF:
- All images are embedded in the PDF at their current size and position
- Image quality is preserved based on the original file quality
- Signatures are treated as images and embedded in the PDF
- Shapes (rectangles, ellipses) are exported as vector graphics
- All elements remain in their exact positions
Troubleshooting
Image appears pixelated or blurry
- Why — The image resolution is lower than the display resolution
- Solution — Use a higher-resolution source image, or reduce the image size on the page
Signature is too small to see
- Solution — Select the signature and drag handles to make it larger. Aim for 1-2 inches wide.
Signature lines don't align with text
- Solution — Use the arrow keys for fine positioning adjustments after placing the signature
Image file won't upload
- Why — File format not supported or file is corrupted
- Solution — Try a different format (PNG or JPEG), or re-export the image from its source
