Task List
The Task List is a straightforward view of all tasks in the project—good for quick adds, check-offs, and edits.
Open it from the sidebar: Task List.
Add a task
- Type in “Add a new task…”
- Press Enter or click Add Task
The task appears in the list and on the Kanban board (in the first column).
Task row
Each row shows:
- Checkbox — mark complete or incomplete
- Task name — sub-tasks may show a SUB badge
- Sub-task count — e.g.
2/5 sub-tasks - Assignee, status, duration, priority
- Progress bar
Actions
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Checkbox | Complete the task; may move it to Completed on the board |
| Edit | Open the task panel |
| Assign | Pick team members |
| Delete | Remove the task and its sub-tasks (confirmation) |
| Drag handle | Reorder tasks in the list |
Completing tasks
Checking a task as done sets progress to 100%. If the task has sub-tasks, all sub-tasks must be complete before you can finish the parent.
Parent progress can roll up from sub-task completion.
Task panel (Edit)
The slide-in panel includes:
- Name, assignees, parent task, status, priority
- Start date, duration, end date (end date is calculated from start + duration)
- Sub-tasks — add, complete, edit, or delete
- Save Changes, Cancel, Delete Task
Sub-tasks
Use sub-tasks to break work into smaller pieces without cluttering the main list. They appear nested under the parent in the Table view and affect parent progress here.
When to use Task List vs Table
| Task List | Table |
|---|---|
| Quick daily todos | Detailed planning |
| Simple complete/edit | Hierarchy, filters, bulk delete |
| Fast add | Due dates, notes, CSV export |
Both views edit the same tasks.
