Gantt Chart
The Gantt chart shows tasks on a timeline based on start and end dates. It’s a read-only view—edit dates in the Task List, Table, or task panel.
Open it from the sidebar: Gantt Chart.
What you see
- Horizontal bars — one per task; length = scheduled duration
- Time header — years and quarters (or days in day view)
- Tooltip on hover — task name, details, start, and end dates
Views
Toggle above the chart:
- Quarters — broad planning (default)
- Days — finer detail
The chart covers a multi-year window starting from your earliest task (or the current year).
Navigation
Click and drag the chart background to scroll left and right.
Task bars are not draggable in the Gantt view—change dates elsewhere and the chart updates automatically.
Setting dates
Tasks appear on the Gantt when they have schedule information. Set dates in:
- Table — Start and Due columns
- Task panel — start date, duration, end date
Tasks without dates may not show a bar.
Tips
- Use Gantt for schedule reviews and stakeholder updates
- Pair with the Table when building the plan
- Overdue styling in the Table helps you spot slips before checking the timeline
